Women Entrepreneurs Have a Tough Time Raising VC Money

An article in TechConfidential reports that women still have a long way to go to compete with men in the world of VC financing. Only about 6% of all venture capital funding in the US goes to female entrepreneurs, Springboard Enterprises Inc reports. The good news is that number has tripled since 1999 when only 1.7% went to women!

Maybe they are good at bootstrapping it? Here are a couple of good resources:

Guy Kawasaki’s Blog. Kawasaki works at Garage Technology Ventures and has written books like Art of the Start. His blog offers great advice - like this article on The Art of Bootstrapping.

Or Seth Godin’s Bootstrapper’s Bible (PDF, 1.2 MB) - Posted here with permission from ChangeThis.com: “It’s no longer free, but if you downloaded it while it was free, feel free to send it to your friends, print it, or post it online.”
